Dhaka Commerce College observed The Independence and National Day on 26 March 2024 with solemnity. Some befitting programs were arranged on the occasion. The first one was held at 11 in the morning with hoisting the national flag along with the national anthem. The program was presided over by Professor. Dr. Shafique Ahmed Siddique, the Chairman of the governing body of Dhaka Commerce College. Md. Shamsul Huda FCA, one of the founders and a member of the governing body, was the special guest. And Abdur Rouf Sikdar, a valiant freedom fighter, was the special speaker on the occasion. Professor Dr. Md. Abu Masud, the Principal, Professor Md. Wali Ullah, the Vice Principal, Maksuda Shirin, Associate Professor and the convener of cultural committee, and that of extra-curricular activities, Ahmed Ahsan Habib, Associate Professor and the convener of the committee of observance of national days as well as the secretary of teachers’ council, other teachers, officers, employees and students were present in the program. The honorable guests were offered guard of honor by Dhaka Commerce College BNCC cadets at the college premises adjacent to the Shaheed Minar. The next program was arranged in the conference hall on 10th floor in Kazi Faruky Building of the college. It included a discussion meeting and distribution of prizes among winners in the events of competitions in national anthem, writing compositions, delivering speeches and general knowledge. Sheikh Russel Wall Magazine of the college published a special issue on the occasion.
